OUTL 218 - Fundamentals of Experiential Leadership

This course serves as a foundational leadership theory course for future professionals in the outdoor industry, as well as those individuals seeking practical hands-on learning experience as psychology, ministry, and business professionals.  Through the use of practical outdoor student-led experiences it delves into what it means to truly be a servant leader.  It dives into expedition behavior and planning, risk management/hazard evaluation, and teaching and facilitation skill based on experiential learning.  An off-campus trip of up to four days will be required.  Lab Fee: 8 ($150).
Prerequisite(s): OUTL 136  or consent of instructor.
