OUTL 218 - Fundamentals of Outdoor Leadership 3 hours
This course serves as a foundation for future outdoor educators, leaders, and professionals. It dives into the foundations of the leadership curriculum, expedition behavior and planning, risk management/hazard evaluation, and basic pedagogy of outdoor skills. The course will include a student-led expedition, will provide certification as a Leave No Trace Trainer, and can qualify students to lead adventure programming for the University. An off-campus field experience of up to four days may be required. Lab Fee: 8 ($150). Prerequisite(s): OUTL 136 or consent of instructor. FALL
