BIOL 317 - Ecology (SERV-2)

Ecology is a study of the interrelationships of plants, animals and their environment. This course examines these interactions in the context of energy flow, nutrient cycles, limiting factors, succession and population dynamics. Field work introduces various ecological sampling techniques and the student participates in an ecological analysis of various local communities as well as extended field trips. Two lectures and one field trip or three-hour laboratory period each week. Lab Fee: 8 ($150).
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 151  - BIOL 152 .
