NRSG 344 - Introduction to Population/Community Health and Cultural Diversity in Nursing

This course uses a Biblical foundation to focus on stressors that impact diverse communities and populations. Emphasis is placed on social determinants, epidemiological concepts, health promotion and literacy. In order to enhance culturally competent care, cultural beliefs, values, ethics, and family dynamics are analyzed as they occur in diverse communities and populations. Various nursing theoretical frameworks and models are considered for care delivery.
This course is cross-listed with NURS 230 . A student may receive credit for this course from only one program.
Prerequisite(s): NRSG 231 , NRSG 305 , NRSG 309 .
