NRSG 316 - Applied Statistics for Health Professions (IN-4)


3 hours

A course focusing on applied statistics used in quantitative research studies in the health professions. Topics include descriptive and inferential statistics, probabilities, hypothesis testing, relationship testing, reliability, and validity. The course includes gaining the ability to critique statistical findings in peer-reviewed journal articles for evidence-based application in the healthcare setting. SPSS (statistical software) is used to analyze and display data. Basic computer competency is assumed. Lab Fee: 6 ($90).
Prerequisite(s): ACT MATH > 22 or MATH 215 .
