NRSG 231 - Child Health (SERV-2)

4 hours

A course utilizing the nursing process emphasizing primary and secondary prevention with special consideration given to developmental and sociocultural variables in the care of the child rearing family. Practice and service opportunities will be available in secondary-care and community settings (including service in NRSG 110 ,   ) where the student has the opportunity to develop awareness of client needs, collaborate with other healthcare providers, and to provide education to clients. A reflection paper will be required for each service learning experience. Three and one-quarter hours theory and three-quarter hour of clinical. Lab Fee: 11 ($240).
Prerequisite(s): NRSG 212 , NRSG 226 .
